Sony has introduces several new notebooks based on Centrino 2 technology. In my opinion these are very stylish notebooks. Following series were announced:
Z series for portability:
Mobile working and portability stands in the foreground of the 1.5 kilograms heavy notebook with thin carbon-fiber chassis and integrated HSDPA module. The laptop is equipped with a 13.1-inch display in 16:9 format.
FW series for Entertainment
The new FW series is mobile entertainment oriented, with a new 16.7-inch diagonal WXGA+ (1600 x 900 pixels) display. New is also a double backlight, for better contrast and more color fidelity and virtual surround sound.
BZ series for business
The BZ series is Sony new business unit. The 15.4-inch models offer features such as integrated Trusted Platform Module technology, hard drive protection and fingerprint sensor. With 2.6 kilograms and magnesium chassis the notebook is ideal for the everyday work.
SR series for private and business use
Both business and leisure features, the 13.3-inch tall SR series. The 1.9 kilogram device offers a power-saving LED backlighting, various security features such as fingerprint sensor and mechanical hard disk protection.
As you can see in the picture of the FW series you can see the message “Boot Failure, press any key to continue”. The picture is nice but this message shows that the marketing division didn’t act smart in this case.
